The purpose of these camps is to study, preserve and disseminate the archaeological sites of the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, making known a heritage that is still unknown to many. Participants are accepted from 18 years old, with no upper age limit.

The summer campaign of the 12th Archaeological Field of Proença-a-Nova (CAPN) will take place between June 25th and August 6th, according to the program that can be consulted HERE.

See HERE the rules of participation.

  • Office work with archaeological materials;
  • Introduction course to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) applied to Archeology
  • Conferences on EIA on June 29th, July 13th and 28th (speakers to be indicated);

Depending on the interests of the participants, recreational activities can be organized in the region.

The program indicated above may be cancelled, in whole or in part, by decision of public authorities due to contingent situations that impose restriction or ban on movement or stay in urban or rural areas, namely forest areas, resulting from the control of viral pandemics, fires, extreme weather conditions (heat waves, rainy periods) or others.

Those interested in participating in the 2023 edition of the CAPN must complete this FORM. We also inform you that priority will be given to students from entities with which protocols have been established, which are subject to a deposit, but exempt from registration fees.
