Congress book Tumuli and Megaliths in Eurasia published. The book Tumuli and Megaliths in Eurasia, published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, is an important documentary testimony, albeit selective, of texts referring to the Tumuli and Megaliths in Eurasia congress, scheduled for Proença-a-Nova in 2021. This book brings together 31 texts, by 74 authors, from 16 countries, corresponding to 14 of the 17 themes of the Congress, a representative set from a thematic and regional point of view. Contributions from 16
countries are included, namely Germany, Azerbaijan, Korea, Spain, France, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Portugal, United Kingdom,
Russia and Serbia.

The Proença-a-Nova Archaeological Field Camp (CAPN) is a mixed model of work, research and learning field for students, preferably from the fields of archaeology, history and archaeosciences, which began in 2012 as Campo Arqueológico de Proença-a-Nova. a-Nova and which from 2013 acquired an international nature. The purpose of these camps is to study, preserve and disseminate the archaeological sites of the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, making known a heritage that is still unknown to many. Participants are accepted from 18 years old, with no upper age limit.
The summer campaign of the 12th Archaeological Field of Proença-a-Nova (CAPN) will take place between June 25th and August 6th, according to the program that can be consulted HERE.

This campaign includes excavations in various archaeological sites subject to licensing by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage through the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Centre.
In addition to archaeological excavations, the CAPN program includes other training activities that are planned:
Depending on the interests of the participants, recreational activities can be organized in the region.
The program indicated above may be cancelled, in whole or in part, by decision of public authorities due to contingent situations that impose restriction or ban on movement or stay in urban or rural areas, namely forest areas, resulting from the control of viral pandemics, fires, extreme weather conditions (heat waves, rainy periods) or others.
Those interested in participating in the 2023 edition of the CAPN must complete this FORM. We also inform you that priority will be given to students from entities with which protocols have been established, which are subject to a deposit, but exempt from registration fees. Registration fees can be consulted with organization.
